28 days. From being celebrated for a week to a month starting in the 1960's blacks are recognized for their fight, determination, strength, and most importantly the will to overcome obstacles that have been placed in front of us for years.
We have come a long way and are still on the journey of overcoming prejudice and stereotypes. Althought i do believe that blacks and our accomplishments should be celebrated all year long i appreciate that this history month was fought for and I hope that others see the history should be acknowledged everyday.
